About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior NICE CXone Developer to serve as the technical authority on our enterprise-grade contact center solutions. This high-visibility role requires a sharp balance of hands-on, deep platform execution and strategic software architecture design.
As a technical specialist, you will drive the design of complex IVR/ACD solutions, unlock automation and AI capabilities, and mentor junior to mid-level developers to ensure long-term platform health.
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead end-to-end development of complex CXone integrations, advanced IVR designs, and custom agent applications.
- API Integration: Design scalable, maintainable solutions leveraging the full NICE CXone API suite (Admin, Agent, Real-time Data, Reporting) and DEVone partner APIs.
- Define coding standards, design patterns, and platform best practices while guiding the engineering team through code reviews and pair programming.
- Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders to translate complex operational requirements into clear technical roadmaps.
- Own incident resolution and root-cause analysis for critical production issues, ensuring systems meet security, compliance, and performance standards.
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years of dedicated, hands-on NICE CXone (or NICE inContact) platform development.
- Deep expertise in NICE CXone Studio scripting, advanced IVR design, and multi-channel ACD routing strategies.
- Extensive experience with CXone REST APIs, modern authentication protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Access Keys), and connecting systems with enterprise CRMs (Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js combined with solid experience in at least one backend language (Python, Java, or C#).
- Practical experience with the CXone Agent SDK, Mobile SDK, or Chat Web SDK, alongside a solid grasp of cloud concepts (AWS or Azure) and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
Nice-to-have skills
- Official NICE CXone certifications (e.g., CXone Studio Developer, CXone Administrator).
- Hands-on exposure to NICE CXone WFM, QM, Interaction Analytics, or AI-driven features like Enlighten AI.
- Experience with low-code/no-code tooling within CXone (Core Component Framework, Connection Hubs) and telephony infrastructure (SIP, WebRTC).
