Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a resilient, detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our high-volume e-commerce platform team for a global client (fluent English is a must). This is a hybrid quality engineering position with a 70% focus on functional/exploratory testing (APIs, UI, Databases) and a 30% focus on test automation and AI-assisted QA workflows.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment under direct oversight and pressure, demonstrating schedule flexibility for off-hour release deployments and critical production support.

• Functional & Exploratory Testing: Lead end-to-end web, REST API, and database testing. Identify edge cases, error states, and regression risks across Dev, Staging, and Production environments.
• API & Database Validation: Deep-dive into REST API contracts (payloads, headers, status codes, dynamic tokens) and execute complex SQL queries to verify data integrity and downstream consistency.
• Test Automation & AI Integration: Build and maintain UI and API automation scripts using Python and/or Playwright. Utilize AI tools (Claude, agents, skills) to accelerate test scenario generation and automation scaffolding.
• Technical Documentation: Author clear, rigorous test plans, test cases, and high-quality defect reports complete with logs, API payloads, and reproduction steps.
• Deployment & Release Readiness: Provide evidence-based release recommendations. 
• Maintain schedule flexibility to support deployment windows, off-hour releases, and live production validations.

• Core Technical QA: Deep expertise in Functional Testing, REST API Testing (Postman/Newman, Playwright APIRequestContext, or Pytest), and SQL/Database querying.
• QA experience in high-throughput, fast-changing environments.
• Practical hands-on experience with Python and UI automation frameworks (preferably Playwright).
• Proven experience using AI tools (Claude, LLMs, or agentic frameworks) to enhance test coverage, analyze requirements, and speed up testing workflows.
• Working knowledge of load and performance testing concepts, metrics, and risk management.
• Excellent skills in writing test plans, coverage matrices, and bug reports via Jira and TestRail.
• Proven ability to handle pressure, close oversight, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities with high ownership and accountability.
• Availability to adjust hours for planned release deployments, hotfixes, or critical environment issues.

• Domain experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Order Fulfillment.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and CI/CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions).
