AWS Cloud Architect

We're looking for an AWS Cloud Architect to lead a large-scale VMware-to-AWS migration program, designing the landing zone that will support multiple application waves and driving the strategy behind how workloads move to the cloud. This is a hands-on architecture role with real ownership: from multi-account governance and networking design to leading production cutovers, you'll be the technical backbone of a complex, multi-team migration effort. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys building solid cloud foundations and then staying close to execution until workloads are safely running in AWS.

• Design and implement AWS Landing Zone architectures aligned with AWS best practices
• Define multi-account governance, security, and networking frameworks
• Lead VMware-to-AWS migration programs, from workload assessment to strategy selection
• Drive application and infrastructure dependency mapping across complex environments
• Plan and execute production-grade migration cutovers
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to migration engineers and consultants
• Build Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK
• Partner with application, infrastructure, security, and networking teams throughout migration waves
• Document architecture decisions, migration runbooks, and operational standards
• Support database migration planning and execution when needed

• Proven expertise designing AWS Landing Zone architectures and multi-account environments
• Strong command of AWS networking, security, IAM, and governance frameworks
• Track record leading VMware-to-AWS migration programs, including workload assessment and strategy selection (rehost, replatform, refactor)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
• Experience leading complex, production-grade migration cutovers
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills across application, infrastructure, security, and networking teams
• Solid documentation practices, covering architecture decisions, runbooks, and operational standards

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• Experience with AWS Migration Hub, MGN, and DMS
• Familiarity with Transit Gateway and Direct Connect setups
• Python or Bash for automation and tooling
• Experience mentoring migration engineers and consultants
